There are many stressors in today's world. How do you stay sane when everything around you feels insane?
I'm here to help with that. Help might look like:
Help might be a combination of these things, or something else altogether. It all depends on you and your situation.
My version of therapy is that it's a process of getting to know yourself better. I am not here to "fix" you, because my belief is that you're not "broken." I am here to help you understand yourself better, so that you know why you do the things you do. It is up to you to decide what you want to change.
You are the expert on your own life and yet I've learned that lots of people hide from themselves. It is my job to draw you out and help you find the value of your being. To help you love yourself- not despite certain things, but because of them. Together we will discover what makes you classically you.
With knowledge comes choice and with choice comes happiness. My only goal is to help you live a happier and more fulfilled life.
My specialty is meeting people where they are. I am here to help you understand YOU better.
I've always had a love for psychology, although that's not where my career started. My work life began in a veterinary clinic, where I stayed for several years before moving into pharmacy. Wanting to do more, I moved from pharmacy into a chemical research and development position. In this environment, I worked my way up from laboratory technician to research chemist. After a number of years, I grew tired of the laboratory setting and moved into a regional sales position. Selling the products I had been doing research on was a welcome change, and I looked forward to having more interactions with people. I soon realized, however, that I cared more about whether my customers were happy than I did if they bought any of the products I was selling. This epiphany led me to change careers, yet again, and also to a complete re-visioning of my life. And I am forever grateful.
In 2013, I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology. In 2016, I became independently licensed and opened my own practice. I am happy to say that I have finally found my niche.
I love, love, love what I do!
